Blessings And A Curse

Published by admin under Donny, Messages

It was not without cause that God spoke to Israel saying “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. II Chronicles 7:14″ Yet we cannot make the connection thousands of years later and identify the root causes to the problems in this country and in the world. The rejection of truth has placed this world at odds with its creator, and we are now reaping the reward of our disobedience. The things spoken to the people of Israel are also recorded for our benefit as well.

From the Book of Deuteronomy chapter 29:

 14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
 15 But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:

 16 (For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;

 17 And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)

 18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

 19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:

 20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.

 21 And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:

 22 So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;

 23 And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:

 24 Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?

 25 Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:

 26 For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:

 27 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:

 28 And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.

 29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

chapter 30

 1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,

 2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

 3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

 4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

 5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

 6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

 7 And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

 8 And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

 9 And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

 10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

 11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

 12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

 13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

 14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

 15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

 16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

 17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

 18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

 20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Our decisions to follow our own desires and the actions we have taken in rejecting the Word of God has opened the door for these catastrophes to happen. When the angels delivered lot from Sodom, they did it in haste, Lot was the last righteous man restraining the judgement of God on that Land. Beloved, please consider the fact that God did not go down and speak to them, He did not send a messenger like he did with Jonah to Nineveh, He went to Abraham and said that He was going to wipe it out. We must intercede for this land! God’s character is perfect and has no need to change. He is true to His Word and you can know His will by feeding on the Word of God daily. The eyes of the Church must be opened and it must cry out in intercession for the people of this land.

God said it was within our capacity to understand His Word and His will. We must choose to humble ourselves and do so.

Slow Of Heart

Published by admin under Messages

24:13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem [about] threescore furlongs. 24:14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 24:15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed [together] and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. 24:16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. 24:17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications [are] these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad? 24:18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days? 24:19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: 24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him. 24:21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. 24:22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre; 24:23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive. 24:24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found [it] even so as the women had said: but him they saw not. 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 24:26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 24:28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. 24:29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. 24:30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed [it], and brake, and gave to them. 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
Luke 24:13-32 KJVSince Jesus speaks of believing the Old Testament and begins at Moses and expounds of the prophecies concerning His dispensation, it must be possible to demonstrate the events of His life via the scriptures. Since Jesus used this method to express a witness of His life, we should take it to heart as well. Lets begin the list:

001)

3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Genesis 3:15 KJV

002) to be continued

You Can’t Study For God’s Test

Published by admin under Messages

We have a specific mind set when it comes to tests. Learn material, review specific items, memorize, and take a test to see how much we learned. Most of us taking a second and third test like this would finally get 100% at the end. God’s test are not like that. God’s test are like how people test different materials: how much stress can they take, how much pressure, how hot, how cold? You don’t study for God’s test, it is done to show what you are. Like gold being purified, the heat separates all the impurities and can be skimmed off. Take yourself out of the test or out of the fire and you do not get to progress.

Look at Abraham in Genesis 22, no way to have prepared for that. But Abraham did not run from the fiery test and God saw what he was made of. In Genesis 22:12 God says “… now I know that thou fearest God …”. God saw what was inside him, God really knew, it actually was more to show Abraham where he was in God.

When you feel conviction, when you feel God dealing with you: don’t run away. Run to Him, and let Him deal with you. God is not out to hurt His children. Ask Him to show you what He sees that needs to be given up to get closer to Him.

Just like your family and friends here. The more time you spend with Jesus, you will take on more of His character and demonstrate His Holy attributes.

“…. and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13

I want people to have that experience when I am there, don’t you?

May the Hand of the Lord be upon you
